Before I get to it today, I thought I’d show you a picture that says it all!
You see, during the recent March Madness events one of our top VIP clients had a serious itch to visit the famous pawn shop that’s known on television as “Pawn Stars”.
So after dinner one evening we decided to take a trip down to the pawn shop. Everything looked exactly like you see it on Television, just a little bit smaller. Anyway, during the tour of the pawn shop I came across a display that literally stopped me in my tracks. Literally left me with a gut wrenching sick feeling.
Here it is…
A case full of Championship Rings… NBA, NFL, MLB… Pretty crazy, huh? Just seeing this display shocked me a bit. A scary reminder Vegas wasn’t built on winners! Oddly enough, Athletes are all too often victims of their own competitive nature – sad, sad, sad! Remember folks, the casino’s biggest risk is at the sports book! Because unlike most games – they do not have a serious house edge in sports!

Today’s a little bit two fold as We bid farewell to March Madness as College Hoops enters into the Final Four. This year’s NCAA Tournament will go down as one of the most exciting tournaments in recent memory.
The rise and fall of top seeds, the upsets (Dayton, Mercer, SF Austin), and thriller after thriller… Whew! What a tournament! I’m sure the last Final Four won’t disappoint!
Sad to see the College Hoops season come to an end, but in sports as one season ends another begins (Another reason I love sports!). I am super excited about MLB, Horse Racing, and the NBA playoffs. Here’s just a few big upcoming events we plan on attending!
- April 7, 2014 – NCAA BB Championship game
- April 13, 204 – Masters Tournament (PGA)
- May 3, 2014 – Kentucky Derby
- Jun 5, 2014 – NBA Finals
