Byron Scott to Cleveland Spells End for LeBron

by Las Vegas Legend, James Jones on July 1, 2010

The Cavs have reached an agreement with two time NBA coach of the year Byron Scott to become the organization’s next head coach.

With Scott deciding to take the job, I believe this a clear indicator that the Lebron James era in Cleveland is over.

Byron Scott is hard nosed and not the type of coach you expect to Cleveland to get if they believed Lebron was going to stay.

Scott is indeed the perfect fit for an organization in rebuilding mode. In 2000, Scott took over a horrendous New Jersey Nets franchise. However, in just one season he made that organization a major winner by taking them to the NBA Finals.

Once Lebron leaves Cleveland it is expected that the Cavs will return to their prior irrlevance. Therefore, Scott has been hired to keep the team competitive and keep the Cleveland fan base interested.
