The University of Miami has just imposed a postseason ban making them ineligible for the conference championship or any bowl game in 2012. Miami is facing NCAA violations due to improper benefits given to recruits by former Miami booster Nevin Shapiro. Florida State will now face Georgia Tech in the ACC title game in Charlotte.
Many this weekend did not expect Miami to pull out of the postseason. However, with this announcement this morning there is no question that Miami expects the NCAA to lay down the hammer.
