The Tampa Bay Bucs got a key Monday Night win over the Indianapolis Colts to begin a solid 3-1 on the young season. However, despite the positive vibes coming out of Tampa it’s hard not to be skeptical about the future of this team in 2011.
First of all the Bucs are the youngest team in the entire NFL. Raheem Morris is also one of the youngest coaches in the league. Josh Freeman while efficient doesn’t wow you with his game management or his ability to consistently make plays down the field.
Penalties continue to kill Tampa Bay. Arnelious Benn’s illegal touching on a would be touchdown where Benn came from out of bounds and to catch the pass is youth football type of errors that cannot happen if the Bucs want to compete for a playoff spot.
So, the Bucs are 3-1. Their fanbase should be pleased. But, I don’t see this team playing a whole lot of postseason ball in January.

Sunday’s NFL action brought a new record in winnings for my premium clients!!! By going 2-0 with winners on the Panthers and Saints by clients won a dramatic 12 units on Sunday alone!
I don’t believe anyone could have forseen the success of Cam Newton so far in this young season. He has already thrown for over 1,000 yards and is on pace to smash all the NFL rookie QB records. I saw tremendous value in getting -3.5 points against Luke McCown and the lowly Jacksonville Jaguars. We jumped all over it and you got paid!!!!
How can you not be a fan of Drew Brees? The Sunday after Sunday wills his way his team to wins. Plus, he may be the classiest guy in the league. The Texans looked as if they would start 3-0 and Matt Schaub raced the Texans out to a 14-3 lead. But a big touchdown strike to Devery Henderson akd Mark Ingram’s game winning TD run his first in the NFL sparked the Saints to a huge rally.

The Notre Dame motto is to “play like a champion today” and they finally did that by finally playing a full 48 minutes of football by knocking off #15 ranked Michigan State 30-13.
My clients also made some championship $$$ today as we had a PERFECT 3-0 day with our 5 unit hammer on Notre Dame and 2 unit winner on Wisconsin. The Atlanta Braves also got on track as Tim Hudson was brillant by proving he one of the major leaders in the Braves clubhouse with 9 innings of shutout baseball. The Braves won 1-0 this afternoon and with the Phillies knocking off St. Louis the Braves now hold a 4 1/2 game lead in the NL Wild Card race.
Notre Dame was absolutely due for this type of performance today, and that was the main reason I made it a 5 unit selection. This team is talented and despite the criticism, Brian Kelly can coach with the best of them. They have averaged nearly 500 yards of total offense in losses to South Florida and Michigan. Yet 10 total turnovers were there undoing. I knew that would not continue.
For Wisconsin, well I’ll just be honest, it’s hard to not like them each and every week with what they’re getting from Russell Wilson. This is an entirely different team and it has ability to put a MAJOR points. I love picking team that can score points in BUNCHES.

Huge opening weekend for in the NFL for my players as my early season 5 unit play was on target as the Eagles thumped the St. Louis Rams 31-13!
Michael Vick was exactly what Andy Reid expected him to be when signed him to his $48 million guaranteed extension. Vick rushed for 98 yards and LeSean McCoy was outstanding as well rushing for 2 TDs.
The self proclaimed “Dream Team” is off to a great start towards a Super Bowl run. However, a gigantic Sunday night game awaits against SI’s preseason Super Bowl winner the Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons looked absolutely dreadful in their opening game loss in Chicago to the Bears 30-12. Yesterday’s thumping dropped the Falcons all the way to 30/1 odds to win the Super Bowl.
The Detroit Lions capped a perfect day for my clients. Matthew Stafford put on a complete show throwing for 301 yards hitting 20 out of 27 targets as the Lions proved they just might be the under the radar team that everyone expects in 2011 by holding of the Bucs 27-20.
I am on an incredible run right now in my premium picks by going 17-4 in my last 21 games!!!! You won’t find a single handicapper in Vegas who top that number!!!

Jon Lester was on fire, and the Red Sox bats let loose in a big way for a big 14-0 $$$ making day for my ROAD DOG CLIENTS!!!!
After being shut out in a 11 inning loss Monday and scoring 2 runs or fewer in three out of their last four games, Boston’s offensive production was very well timed.
The Red Sox were led by David Ortiz and Martin Scurato who pounded out four hits a piece, three of Scurato’s hits were doubles. He also had four RBIs.
Jarrod Saltalamacchia and Josh Reddick both went yard and Adrian Gonzalez also three hits as well.
Jon Lester was stellar for the fifth consecutive time allowing three hits and no runs and striking out 11. With this performance Lester matched Lefty Grove as the only Boston pitcher to allow one run or less in five consecutive starts.
Boston got even better news before the game started. It appears Josh Beckett’s ankle is not broken and will only miss one start. This is big news for the Red Sox. They clearly will have the best one two punch in the American League playoffs come October.

It’s been a dreadful month for the San Francisco Giants, but a win on the last day of August meant payday for my clients!!!
The win had to be a relief for the Giants management and players as earlier in the day they cut ties with Aaron Rowand and Miguel Tejada. Both have been a huge disappointment since they signed with the Giants, and it’s smart for the Giants to cut ties with some of these bloated salaries. The Giants have a young core especially at pitcher with Lincecum, Cain, and Bumgarner. Plus, Buster Posey will be back next year and don’t forget about the young Brandon Belt.
Bumgarner was the man today, however as he threw 2 hits of shutout baseball as the Giants avoided a sweep from the hapless Chicago Cubs 4-0.
The season appears to be over for the Giants. They are 9 1/2 out of the Wild Card and trail the D-Backs by 5.5 in the division. While the two meet in a crucial three game stretch this weekend, I don’t believe you will see much out of the Giants the rest of the way. The lack of hitting and injuries have just taken too much of a tole. The franchise has a bright future, but don’t look for our World Series repeat in 2011.

Warning #1. September call ups
MLB teams will be in September call ups starting tomorrow. In a nutshell, teams who are out of the play off picture call up players from their farm leagues and give them a shot at the show (MLB).
There’s a right way and a wrong way to bet MLB during September call ups. If you know how to bet during September then it’s EASY money! If you want the best plays during September, including, my Road Dog System you need my premium plays.

With all the success surrounding my Road Dog system it’s sometimes easy to forget about my other successful plays such as my premium winners!
Last night we had a premium winner go off and it was a BIG WINNER! Joe Saunders was outstanding for the Diamondbacks last night as he pitched seven innings strong allowing one run on four hits as the D-Backs knocked of the San Diego Padres 3-1. Saunders performance was aided by a two run homer by center fielder Chris Young. It’s was Young’s 19th homer and second in three days. JJ Putz slammed the door in the 9th as he saved his 33rd of the season.
Saturday’s night game was the largest attended in Arizona since May 21 and gave the Diamondbacks a 3 game lead over the Giants in the NL West.

I don’t believe there has been a pitcher in all of baseball that has been as dominant as Cliff Lee. Some would argue Justin Verlander, but I beg to differ.
In the month of August alone Lee has gone 4-0 and allowed just two earned runs in over 32 innings. Lee has already reached his career high in strikeouts for a single season. He did this in the top of the 3rd Monday by fanning Angel Pagan.
Lee’s performance notched another win for my clients and kept by Roaddog system UNDEFEATED for the 2011 MLB season. The Mets have dropped to five games below .500 and another season slips out of control for this vastly underachieving franchise. I do think Terry Collins is the right man for the job, but these seasons have to be extremely frustrating if you are a Mets fan.
Things won’t get any easier tonight. The Phillies will trot out Vance Worley who has been a huge surprise for the Phillies this season, especially with the loss of Roy Oswalt.
